Description
High-performance engines require an adequate and constant fuel supply. Increasing the performance of the Yamaha T-Max, drawing on the comprehensive Malossi catalog, has made it essential to create a specific throttle body capable of guaranteeing performance levels that would be unthinkable for the standard unit.
Made of Ergal 7975-T6 and black anodized, the MHR throttle body has been specifically designed to achieve maximum performance in combination with the Double PowerCams, providing the engine with adequate intake in this configuration.
The internal diameter of the throttle body is increased to 37 mm, while its length remains identical to the original so that it can be easily housed in its standard position between the cylinder head and airbox.
Its internal ducts are cylindrical near the trumpets and gradually become oval near the connectors. Thanks to this variation in internal shape, the fresh gases are pushed with more energy into the cylinder head which, having two intake valves, requires a significant width, provided by the oval section, which continues to the end of the manifold.
The trumpets specific to the MHR throttle body are calculated and optimized to obtain maximum performance from the oval sections of the bodies, taking advantage of the perfect harmonization of the entire duct.
The throttle body reuses the original ride-by-wire system for throttle control.
We recommend combining it with the FM3 control unit (item 5519341), which contains a map dedicated to this throttle body, and the Double Power Cams (item 5919140).
