KTW 2.5 by Kellermann
The chain tool KTW 2.5 is the enhanced further development of the KTW 2.0. It enables the easy disassembly of the old and the precise assembly of the new chain (with rivet lock) without having to remove the rear swing arm. With this tool, chains of all common brands (e.g. D.I.D, Regina, RK etc.) can be separated and riveted with hollow rivet locks.
The tool contains two mandrels with different diameters. The pre-assembled mandrel is now even stronger and matched to 5xx and 6xx chains. The enclosed mandrel is specially designed for cutting 4xx chains. Only a 19 ring or socket wrench is required for use.
The tool is also suitable for full rivet locks if the supplementary set art. no. 130.250 is used. The chain tool consists of the main force-transmitting tool and a patented positioning unit for the assembly of the rivet lock, which features a completely new and simple sliding option for the side plate of the chain lock. This newly developed magnetic positioning unit ensures a simple and absolutely precise assembly of the side plate of the chain lock. The magnets in the pressure plate as well as in the counter plate hold both parts of the chain lock and enable an exact, simple and comfortable alignment of the chain lock parts to each other due to the guidance.
