The Mistral-X is waterproof, features an adjustable waist for a snug, personalized fit, and opens wide at the ankles so it goes on easily over bulky touring boots. When temps climb, thigh vents let airflow through without giving up weather protection. For the long haul, Hein Gericke builds the Mistral-X from a rugged polyester shell reinforced with a polyamide-aramid blend in the high-impact zones. Four easy-access outer pockets keep your essentials within reach — two waterproof thigh pockets and two non-waterproof hip pockets, clearly marked so you're never guessing in the rain. A grippy, non-slip seat panel keeps you planted on the saddle, while reflective accents on the thighs and cuffs add visibility when the light starts to fade. Removable, lab-tested SAS-TEC Level 2 knee protectors and Level 1 hip protectors handle impact protection where it counts. How to measure your height:

1 Waist

Measure your waist at the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above your belly button. Stand upright and keep breathing normally while you place the tape measure horizontally around your body. Make sure the tape is not digging in but also not too loose, so you get a realistic measurement.

2 Hips

Measure your hips at the widest part of your buttocks. Stand upright with your feet about hip-width apart and place the tape measure horizontally around your body. Make sure the tape stays at the same height all the way around and does not slip up or down.

3 Outseam

Measure the outside leg length from your hip down the outside of your leg to the sole of your foot. Stand upright and barefoot with your legs naturally straight. Place the tape measure at the side of your hip and run it straight down to the sole. Make sure it stays close to your body and does not slip.

4 Inseam

Measure your inseam from the crotch down along the inside of your leg to the sole of your foot. Stand upright, ideally without shoes and with your legs slightly apart. Run the tape measure straight down and make sure it does not slip.

5 Thigh

Measure your thigh at the fullest part. Wrap the tape loosely around your leg without pulling it tight. For an accurate result, stand relaxed and distribute your weight evenly on both legs.
