Merlin Borderlands D3O In Boot Motorcycle Textile Pants
As part of the Explorer collection the new Borderlands trouser with accompanying jacket is the perfect all season touring and adventure solution. Built to be both a versatile and high performance trouser but without the premium price tag. Riders can experience the AA rated safety through a Tactel laminated outer shell that has a 10k/10k waterproof and breathable rating. Inside is a detachable thermal lining and D3O’s leading impact protectors. This trouser has an in the boot fit, a first for Merlin. This provides the benefit of weather protection with an in the boot fit, opposed to Condor, which fits over the boot.

Passt perfekt (184cm, 83kg). Absolut Wasserdicht, gut verarbeitet.

Passform Enttäuschend
Eine "in Boot Hose" so etwas bekommt man schon lange nicht mehr, ausser der klassischen Cross Ballonhosen, so war ich überglücklich als ich diese Hose sah, da meine alte Dainese nach 25 Jahren auseinander geht. Bestellt habe ich zunächst eine L. Ich bin 180cm/80Kg: sollte passen. Leider nicht, bzw ich konnte sie nicht mal anziehen denn, die Hose unten am Knöchel keine Weitenverstellung hat und so eng ist, dass ich mit dem Fuss nicht durchgekommen bin (trage Schuhgrosse 44). Also XL bestellt in der Hoffnung... Diesmal konnte ich sie anprobieren: sie ist unten weiterhin extrem eng, wäre aber kein Problen wenn der Rest passen würde. Fehlanzeige: XL rutsch mir einfach von der Hüfte runter, am Oberschenkel ist so viel Stoff, dass wie eine Crosshose aussieht und sich überall Falten bilden. Zuletzt die Knie Protektoren: schon beim Sitzen auf dem Sofa drucken sie dermassen, dass nach zwei Minuten weh tut. Fazit: eine Enttäuschung, die Passform ein Desaster. Schade, da das Material sich wirklich gut anfühlt und die Verarbeitung hochwertig.
