The Mistral-X brings together everything a true touring jacket should offer: thoughtful functionality, intuitive operation, and genuine Hein Gericke craftsmanship down to the details. A wide range of adjustments from the collar to the sleeve cuffs, plus a semi-elastic waist belt with a sliding buckle, let you dial in a fit that feels almost custom-made. When temperatures rise, the generous chest ventilation panels open wide to expose large mesh areas. Together with the rear ventilation, they create an effective airflow system for long days in the saddle. Hein Gericke also approaches weather protection and storage from a rider’s perspective. On the Mistral-X, you can see at a glance which storage areas are designed for wet conditions: every pocket is clearly labeled “waterproof” or “non-waterproof.” Two large front pockets provide plenty of room for essentials, one with an additional bellows pocket and the other with a separate neoprene phone pocket inside. Another phone pocket is located on the interior. The textile outer material is reinforced with an abrasion-resistant aramid material blend in high-impact zones, while removable, laboratory-tested SAS-TEC Level 2 protectors cover the shoulders and elbows. How to measure your height:

1 Shoulder width

Measure your shoulder width across your back from the outer edge of one shoulder to the outer edge of the other. Stand upright and let your arms hang relaxed at your sides. Guide the tape measure from shoulder point to shoulder point across the upper back and make sure it does not slip.

2 Chest circumference

Measure your chest circumference at the fullest part of your chest. Run the tape measure horizontally around your upper body under your arms. Make sure the tape stays level and breathe naturally without puffing out your chest.

3 Waist

Measure your waist at the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above your belly button. Stand upright and keep breathing normally while you place the tape measure horizontally around your body. Make sure the tape is not digging in but also not too loose, so you get a realistic measurement.

4 Hips

Measure your hips at the widest part of your buttocks. Stand upright with your feet about hip-width apart and place the tape measure horizontally around your body. Make sure the tape stays at the same height all the way around and does not slip up or down.

5 Arm length

Measure your arm length from the outer shoulder point to your wrist. Let your arm hang naturally and relaxed at your side. Run the tape measure along the outside of your arm down to the wrist.
