Completing the Mahala line, the Merlin Mahala D3O Raid Explorer Motorcycle Textile Jacket provides plenty of cool riding breeze for riders looking to explore hotter climates. The large mesh panels allow cool air to circulate around the body, while the abrasion-resistant Cordura® outer material combined with the five-piece D3O® armor provides reliable protection. Inside, a solid mesh lining ensures moisture is wicked away, keeping the rider cool, dry and happy.

I'm really frustrated with this.
The jacket is nice, but unfortunately it doesn't work for me. I'm an XL and I bought an XL, though I was concerned about the sleeve length. While the body fits almost perfectly, the sleeves are extremely short. What a shame—I'll be returning it.

Excellent for hot weather
196 cm tall, 97 kg, XXL was too wide, XL was great apart for few mm short in sleeves but since it is a summer jacket, I don't care.
The jacket looks great if you like this retro 6 days / military look. It is on the heavy side but the mesh areas are really substantial and keep you really ventilated. I would not recommend it for hard enduro stuff, but for trail riding and adventure riding in general it is perfect. Plenty of pockets, plenty of belts/velcros to customize the fit.
195 cm tall, 114 cm chest, XL fits great (maybe a couple of mm short in sleeves, but since it is strictly a summer jacket, I don't mind). Ordered also XXL but it was too baggy and too wide. Feels great, looks awesome (if you are into retro, 6 days kind of look) very well ventilated.
