Bell Custom 500 Carbon Jet Helmet

Throwbacks and retro lids are nice, but nothing beats an original. In 1954, Bell founder Roy Richter molded his first helmet out of fiberglass and named it the '500.' Bell's Custom 500 pays homage to Richter's original design and updates the design with modern protection technology.

1 Head circumference

Measure your head circumference by placing the tape measure horizontally around your head. Guide it about one centimetre above your eyebrows across your forehead and around the widest part at the back of your head. Make sure the tape stays at the same height all the way around and is neither slipping nor too tight so you get an accurate measurement.
