The Alpinestars Tech-Air® 3 Canvas Airbag System is designed to be worn both over and under a motorcycle jacket. It offers effective and practical protection for V-twin riders, touring riders, commuters and weekend riders who want to be safe on the road. The advanced triggering algorithm for crash detection is based on millions of kilometers of riding data and thousands of accidents, enabling the system to precisely detect when the airbag needs to be activated in the event of a collision or dangerous situations such as a lowside or highside fall. As soon as Tech-Air® 3 registers an accident, the airbag inflates within milliseconds and reduces the transmitted impact energy by up to 95% in the protected areas, including the chest and back. In the event of a direct impact with another vehicle or obstacle, the system deploys before contact to provide the driver with optimum protection. The main material is flexible nylon canvas and the waterproof ECU and electronics make the slim, self-contained system versatile. It can be worn under any Alpinestars Tech-Air® Ready jacket or other leather and textile jackets, provided there is sufficient space for the airbag deployment.

• The Tech-Air® 3 Canvas system is a fully autonomous active airbag system and requires no external connections or sensors on the motorcycle for the system to function
• The Tech-Air® 3 Canvas integrates 6 integrated sensors (3 accelerometers (1 triaxial accelerometer) and 3 gyroscopes (1 triaxial gyroscope)) to provide the best accident monitoring performance in a variety of dynamic riding situations, even at standstill
• The Tech-Air® 3 Canvas airbag system uses an accident detection algorithm that utilizes AI to accurately monitor when to deploy the airbag in the event of an accident, so that the airbag provides active protection in road scenarios and various driving conditions, even when stationary
• The Tech-Air® 3 Canvas airbag system activates automatically via the magnetic zipper
• The packable design of the system allows it to be easily stowed in a backpack, saddlebag, top case or suitcase when not in use
• The design of the Tech-Air® Canvas system includes additional features including a built-in sunglass pocket on the right chest, a waist loop that allows you to attach riding gloves, elastic side panels for comfort that provide expansion volume to allow the airbag to inflate, and a convenient option to easily fold and secure the airbag bladder

• An LED display, partially hidden in the left chest pocket, shows the operational status of the airbag. The pocket has a reflective interior backing for optimized LED visibility and also includes a haptic alarm that vibrates to confirm that the system is activated, as well as warns the rider when the battery is low
• Tech-Air® 3 Canvas integrates Alpinestars' Pro Second Generation compact electronic control unit (ECU), which is located in the ECU pocket in the upper back area of the Tech-Air® 3 Canvas vest
• Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.0) connectivity to the Tech-Air® app allows riders to monitor the system's operating status, battery status and provides a detailed map of motorcycle rides via MyRide
• Upgradeable system software is accessible via the Tech-Air® app, where riders can quickly check the installed software version and easily perform the latest software updates
• The gas inflator, which provides the inflation gas for airbag deployment, is located in the inflator housing on the left side of the lower back
• Can be washed by hand at 30°C
