Alpinestars' lightest autonomous airbag system, Tech-Air® 3 V2, is designed to be worn both over and under the motorcycle jacket - an effective and practical choice for touring riders, urban commuters and light off-road adventures. The specially developed crash detection algorithm is based on millions of kilometers driven and thousands of accident data, so that the system precisely recognizes when the airbag needs to be deployed - be it in the event of a collision or in critical situations such as a low-side or high-side fall. As soon as Tech-Air® 3 V2 registers the start of an accident, the protective airbag inflates in just 50 milliseconds. In the event of a direct collision with another vehicle or obstacle, the system provides “first-impact” protection by inflating before contact occurs. This protection has been tested according to the Dolomiticert protocol, within a speed range of 25 to 63 km/h. Further details on the protection range can be found in the Tech-Air® 3 user manual. With a water-repellent chassis and waterproof ECU and electronics, the slim, self-contained system can also be worn under a motorcycle jacket - as long as there is enough space for the airbag to inflate. • Tech-Air® 3 V2 is a fully autonomous, active airbag system and requires no external connections or sensors on the motorcycle to operate the system.
• Tech-Air® 3 V2 has 6 integrated sensors (3 accelerometers (1 triaxial accelerometer) and 3 gyroscopes (1 triaxial gyroscope)) to ensure the best impact monitoring in a variety of dynamic riding situations and even when stationary
• The Tech-Air® 3 V2 airbag system is automatically activated via the magnetic zipper
• The vest can be easily stowed in a backpack or under the bike seat when not in use
• Also available in a Stella women's version with an ergonomically optimized fit for women
• The Tech-Air® 3 V2 is equipped with a diagonal zipper that completely covers the chest while concealing the inner airbag. The magnetic zipper is easy to use and provides a secure closure system for the airbag garment.
• An LED display on the front chest shows the operating status of the airbag. The LED display also includes a haptic alert that vibrates to confirm that the system is activated and warns the rider when the battery is running low
• Tech-Air® 3 V2 incorporates Alpinestars' 2nd generation compact electronic control unit (ECU), which is located in the ECU pocket on the upper back of the Tech-Air® 3 inner vest
• Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.0) connectivity with the Tech-Air® app allows the rider to monitor the system's operating status and battery status, and provides a detailed map of motorcycle rides via MyRide
• Upgradeable system software is accessible via the Tech-Air® app
• The integrated back protector pocket on the back can accommodate additional passive back protection
• Tech-Air® 3 V2 uses an impact detection algorithm that uses artificial intelligence to accurately monitor when the airbag is deployed in the event of a collision, so that the airbag provides active protection when riding on the road and in various riding conditions, even when stationary
