Merlin Alton II D3O Motorcycle Leather Jacket

This timeless style was first introduced in the summer of 2017 and has been one of the most popular leather jackets in the Merlin collections. Alton II though sees improvements from years of consumer testing and feedback as well as new impact protection, in the form of D3O. Riders can now benefit from a revised fixed mesh lining which allows for adjustable elbow armour positions, a fold back collar for summer riding, more ventilation in the front and rear of the jacket, as well as newly adjusted fit blocks to include such changes as more back length and an increased front neck drop to prevent rubbing on the neck.

Top Jacke mit einem kleinen Wehrmutstropfen

Die Lederqualität und die Verarbeitung der Jacke ist über jeden Zweifel erhaben, das mal vorweg. Die Passform (in XL) ist für mich mit 1,80 und 90 Kilo perfekt. Man kann darunter locker langärmelige Unterwäsche und sogar noch einen dünnen Pullover für die ganz kalten Tage tragen (bei eingesetztem Liner). Die Protektorentasche am Rücken ist nicht verschließbar, aber so konzipiert, dass der Protektor nicht rausfällt. Die Protektoren sind gut platziert und sitzen beim Fahren da wo sie sollen. Das Belüftungskonzept ist ebenfalls top. Mir ist immer zu warm und bei 20 Grad Außentemperatur und komplett geöffneter Belüftung war es richtig angenehm. Die Luft zieht hierbei gut durch die Jacke. Die Innentaschen sind großzügig (für eine Lederjacke) und ebenfalls gut platziert. Der Stoff der Innentaschen ist recht dünn, die Zeit wird zeigen, ob eingesteckte Schlüssel dem Stoff zusetzen. Der einzige Wehrmutstopfen ist für mich der Hauptreisverschluss. Es ist zwar ein YKK Reissverschluss (ich kaufe ausschließlich Sachen mit YKK Reisverschlüssen), aber nicht der hochwertigste den es von YKK gibt, sondern einer mit dünnen “Zähnen”. Ich habe den Reissverschluss bereits mit Nähmaschinenöl geschmiert, aber dennoch muss man beim zumachen feinfühlig sein. Dennoch: Eine Spitzenjacke von den Features her und äußerst stylisch. Ich würde sie sofort wieder kaufen und kann sie bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen, auch wenn der Hauptreissverschluss nicht ganz zum Konzept passt.

Sehr schöne weiche Lederjacke mit sehr guter Verarbeitung Die Jacke hat eine gute Passform und ist angenehm zu tragen siehe super aus 175cm/90kg Größe xl passt Gerne wieder

Super comfortable

I wanted a Merlin, but they were all sold out in my size. Happily, the Alton II came out. My wife bought me one for my birthday. I was a bit concerned that there might not be enough airflow, as I only saw the two small vents on the right breast. No problem - there are multiple vents around the jacket, and the airflow is excellent, much better than my other jackets. The fit is great for my dad-bod. the zips and fasteners are high-quality and easy to work. The aerodynamics are good at 80+MPH. I couldn't be happier.
