LS2 FF805 Thunder Carbon 2023 Helmet

The LS2 Thunder combines advanced technology with a refined, performance-driven design. Developed in collaboration with renowned MotoGP™ athletes, this full-face helmet is engineered to deliver the highest standards of safety, optimised aerodynamics and exceptional wearing comfort – even at high speeds. The outer shell, made from 6K carbon fibre, offers outstanding strength while remaining impressively lightweight. Three shell sizes ensure a consistently precise fit across the full size range. The multi-density EPS liner, featuring a channelled ventilation system, enables efficient airflow, supported by chin, top and rear spoiler vents – helping to maintain a comfortable temperature even under pressure. The visor is crafted from scratch-resistant, UV-resistant material and includes a quick-release mechanism. It is also prepared for Pinlock® MaxVision™ inserts and tear-off films. An integrated visor locking system enhances safety during high-speed riding. The wide field of vision provides comprehensive visibility on both road and track. Inside, an antimicrobial X-Static® Silver liner offers hypoallergenic, breathable comfort. It is removable, washable and laser-cut for a precision fit. Emergency cheek pads with a quick-release system further contribute to enhanced safety. A classic double D-ring closure with reinforced chin strap reinforces the helmet’s racing pedigree, while reflective detailing improves visibility in low-light conditions.

How to measure your height:

1 Body height

To determine your exact height, stand on a flat surface without shoes, preferably with your back against a straight wall. Ensure that your head, shoulders and bottom are lightly touching the wall. Use a tape measure or folding rule and measure vertically from the highest point of your head (crown) to the sole of your foot. A second person can help you hold the tape measure straight and read the exact height.

2 Chest circumference

To measure your chest size correctly, place the measuring tape horizontally around your upper body at the fullest part of your chest. Ensure that the tape measure is not too tight and runs parallel to the floor. Breathe in and out normally to obtain a realistic measurement. It may be helpful to take the measurement in front of a mirror or ask a second person for assistance.

3 Waist circumference

The waist circumference is measured at the narrowest point of your torso – usually just above the navel. Ensure that the tape measure is horizontal and fits snugly, but does not cut into the skin. Breathe calmly and maintain a natural posture to obtain an accurate result.

4 Hip circumference

To measure your hip circumference, stand upright and wrap the tape measure horizontally around the widest part of your hips and buttocks. Ensure that the tape measure is flat and parallel to the floor. A second person or a mirror can help to take an accurate measurement.

5 Inside leg length

The inside leg length is measured along the inside of the leg from the crotch to the sole of the foot. Stand up straight, preferably barefoot. If possible, ask someone else to help you to obtain a more accurate measurement. A practical method is to measure a pair of trousers that fit well: Lay them flat and measure the inside leg length from the crotch to the bottom hem.
