Gaerne SG12 Motocross Boots

The Gaerne SG12 motocross boot sets new standards in terms of comfort and safety and is considered ‘the best you can buy with money’. With the innovative Dual Stage Pivot System, the SG12 offers a natural feeling of movement and effectively protects the rider from injury. The combination of hard-wearing cowhide leather, plastic protectors and a robust, double-stitched sole ensures maximum protection off-road. The boot also offers outstanding flexibility and stability, which optimises the riding experience. A gel insert in the insole absorbs shocks, while the elasticated dust cover prevents the ingress of dirt. The tried-and-tested memory SCD foam moulds perfectly to the foot and ensures an extremely comfortable ride.

Nach der 2. Tour kann ich nun folgendes sagen, Anfangs war er etwas eng, was sich aber erst mit dem längeren Tragen dann legt und dann passt er sehr gut und hält den Fuß gut fest. Den einen Stern ziehe ich ab, da die 2, Schnalle nicht parallel zu einander sitzt und man etwas nachhelfen muss, damit der Verschluß auch einrastet wie er soll. Eine Pflege oder Bedienungsanleitung fehlt auch. Zum Schluß hat der Schuh erheblich das quitschen angefangen, hier muss wohl öfters mit einem Gleitmittel die Reibungsflächen eingeschmiert werden. Ist fast so schlimm wie bei Skischuhen. An und für sich ein doch guter Crosstiefel auch wenn ich ihn nur für Endurofahren nutze.

Great boots!

Very durable boots. They take some time to break in. I owned other Gaerne boots but the SG12s are a different level. They offer very good protection, comfort is good considering what they are and what they are supposed to do. Sizing is slightly on the bigger side, so if you are between sizes, take the smaller one.

Perfect offroad boots

I'm useing for more than12 years. In my opinion this is a perfect chooseing if You are an off road biker. Perfect protection and easy mooveing. Easy to adjust if You have bigger knee protectors thanks for the three position belt ont the top. I never had problem with this boots. Many top extreme riders are useig SG12.
