The Tech-Air® 3 leather airbag system from Alpinestars is designed to be worn both over and under a motorcycle jacket. It offers effective and practical protection for V-twin riders, touring riders, commuters and weekend riders who want to ride with added safety. The advanced crash detection algorithm is based on millions of kilometers of riding data and thousands of accidents. This allows the system to precisely determine when to activate the airbag in the event of a collision or in dangerous situations such as a low-side or high-side fall. As soon as Tech-Air® 3 detects an accident, the airbag deploys in milliseconds and reduces the transmitted impact energy by up to 95% in the protected areas, including the chest and back. In the event of a direct impact with another vehicle or obstacle, the system inflates before contact to provide optimum protection for the driver. The main chassis is made of high-quality, soft leather and the waterproof ECU and electronics make the slim, self-contained system versatile. It can be worn under any Alpinestars Tech-Air® Ready jacket or other leather and textile jackets, provided there is sufficient space for the airbag deployment.

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.0) connectivity to the Tech-Air® app allows riders to monitor system operating status, battery status and provides a detailed map of motorcycle rides via MyRide
Upgradeable system software is accessible via the Tech-Air® app, where riders can quickly check the installed software version and easily perform the latest software updates
The gas inflator, which provides the inflation gas to deploy the airbag, is located in the inflator housing on the left side of the lower back

Awesome vest! Protection in style
Awesome vest, excellent quality. The only airbag vest that looks great and actually makes you want to wear it. The only drawback is the imbalance of the gas container within the vest. It's on the side, not in the middle. However, you usually don't feel it.
