Alpinestars SMX Air Perforated Motorcycle Textile Jacket

The SMX Air sport jacket features a main chassis of tech mesh on the rider's abdomen, back and inner arms, paired with 450D polyfabric reinforcements on the outer arms and shoulders. The SMX Air also features perforated 450D polyfabric in the upper chest area for excellent air circulation during the warm summer months. An extended polyamide stretch material is incorporated at the back, shoulders and sides of the rider, and a high-density stretch material is incorporated at the upper back. The stretch material provides a custom fit and a high degree of freedom of movement, and offers the perfect amount of stretch for use with the Tech-Air® 5 Airbag System. Tuned for optimal ventilation, the SMX Air Jacket features a removable windbreak liner that reduces airflow when not needed, providing optimal climate comfort and versatility. DFS Lite external shoulder sliders combine with Nucleon Flex Plus CE Level 1 shoulder, elbow and forearm armor to create impact protection for the SMX Air Jacket, resulting in an overall CE Level A rating. How to measure your height:

1 Body height

To determine your exact height, stand on a flat surface without shoes, preferably with your back against a straight wall. Ensure that your head, shoulders and bottom are lightly touching the wall. Use a tape measure or folding rule and measure vertically from the highest point of your head (crown) to the sole of your foot. A second person can help you hold the tape measure straight and read the exact height.

2 Chest circumference

To measure your chest size correctly, place the measuring tape horizontally around your upper body at the fullest part of your chest. Ensure that the tape measure is not too tight and runs parallel to the floor. Breathe in and out normally to obtain a realistic measurement. It may be helpful to take the measurement in front of a mirror or ask a second person for assistance.

3 Waist circumference

The waist circumference is measured at the narrowest point of your torso – usually just above the navel. Ensure that the tape measure is horizontal and fits snugly, but does not cut into the skin. Breathe calmly and maintain a natural posture to obtain an accurate result.

4 Hip circumference

To measure your hip circumference, stand upright and wrap the tape measure horizontally around the widest part of your hips and buttocks. Ensure that the tape measure is flat and parallel to the floor. A second person or a mirror can help to take an accurate measurement.

5 Inside leg length

The inside leg length is measured along the inside of the leg from the crotch to the sole of the foot. Stand up straight, preferably barefoot. If possible, ask someone else to help you to obtain a more accurate measurement. A practical method is to measure a pair of trousers that fit well: Lay them flat and measure the inside leg length from the crotch to the bottom hem.
