Description

AGV K-5 S Tempest Helmet

AGV’s latest version of this premium sport helmet now features a new construction for the inner liner, designed with high-performance fabrics and with no stitching in sensitive areas, making for an extremely comfortable fi t. The lightweight shell is made from a carbon-fi berglass mix, while stability and aerodynamic performance are maximized thanks to an incorporated spoiler. The Integrated Ventilation System (IVS) has vents that are hollowed into the shell, and there’s also an internal drop-down sun visor, a removable nose guard and a new wind protector that keeps noise to a minimum.

OF POOR QUALITY

WIND NOISE SO MUCH.EARPLUG MUST BE USED.I WAS NOT EXPACTING THIS WAY. FRUSTRATION.

Very good product

The helmet is very nice and light. The sun visor is not very dark, but it suits me that way. The only drawback is the opening and closing mechanism of the sun visor and the fact that the sun visor can be either fully open or fully closed. The previous helmet had a sliding mechanism that allowed me to have the visor only in the upper half so that the sun does not get into the eyes and the road can be seen without dimming.

Would return if I could.

It is light and comfortable however I also find it loud with a lot of wind noise. At times I even get a whistle coming though which is really annoying and requires ear plugs to keep it bearable. Unfortunately I will be using it as a spare.

Not worth the money

I've had this helmet for the past 6 months and covered around 10000km with it so I can safely say I had extensive usage with it. Aside from the fact that the styling is really beautiful and feels very comfortable on my head, everything else was a disappointment to me. Firstly, I ride a Transalp 700 so I'm not leaning forward as much. This makes the helmet quite noisy. I guess if you ride a sport bike you don't have this issue. Another problem is the drop down sun visor. I live in Cyprus which is very sunny. The visor is absolutely crap as it is not merely dark enough for mild sunny days which is quite unfortunate. The next point that I did not like about the helmet is the fact that it's supposedly glass wearing friendly but it is so uncomfortable to wear glasses with this helmet. Finally, I bought mine for around 350 euros which for that price I think it's an absolute rip off.
