The Tundra-X is made for tours where the morning air is still cold, the sun breaks through by midday, and rain is waiting at the next pass. That is where the 3-in-1 concept really shows its strength: the outer jacket, removable Sympatex® membrane jacket, and separate thermal liner can be combined to suit the weather and temperature. The nonporous Sympatex® membrane keeps water and wind out while moving moisture to the outside, with breathability increasing as temperature and humidity rise. At the same time, large fold-open chest vents expose generous mesh areas, while long vents on the sleeves and back add airflow. Numerous adjustment options from the collar to the sleeve cuffs, plus a semi-elastic waist belt with a sliding buckle, let you dial in a fit that feels almost custom-made. The durable polyamide outer material gives the Tundra-X a tough foundation for long-distance touring, while removable, laboratory-tested SAS-TEC Level 2 protectors cover the shoulders and elbows. Nine pockets in the outer jacket provide plenty of easy-access storage, with additional pockets in both the membrane jacket and thermal liner. The result reflects Hein Gericke’s long-standing touring expertise: an adaptable system in which every layer has a clear purpose.
