Mens den oprindelige MA-1 blev designet til at beskytte piloter mod de barske forhold i kolde klimazoner, blev TT-modellen designet til at levere det modsatte: dens lette nylonkonstruktion og fraværet af polstring fremmer åndbarhed, samtidig med at den bevarer den overlegne kvalitet og alsidighed, man forventer fra Alpha.
MA-1 TT ligner MA-1 udseendemæssigt (den kommer også med det ikoniske røde flymærke og blyantæske på venstre ærme), men den har faktisk en smallere udskæring for at fremme en tættere pasform til kroppen. Da det er en sommerjakke, blev den skabt for at give plads til en skjorte.
